Minne-so-what? Chargers take home first ever playoff win

Hillsdale College has been around for 165 years. It has 1,381 students. It has 60 miles between its campus and the nearest interstate. Its campus picks up about two and a half discernable FM radio stations. And now, Hillsdale College holds one Division II playoff win.

The Hillsdale Chargers will not be a welcome guest Saturday in Allendale as they venture to the home of the team they upset so terribly earlier this season. It was Hillsdale that stopped Grand Valley State University's 48-game winning streak. It was Hillsdale that stopped Grand Valley's 45-game conference winning streak.

Volleyball wins first GLIAC Tournament

The Hillsdale College volleyball team made Hillsdale College history on Sunday in their five-set win against Saginaw Valley State University, earning their place as champions of the GLIAC.

The Chargers will face Northern Michigan University today in their first match of the NCAA Division II regional tournament.

Men's basketball makes strides in season opener

Over the weekend, the Charger men's basketball team dove into the new season headfirst by playing the No. 24 and No. 1 Division II teams in the country.

"It's what we wanted to do," head coach John Tharp said of the brutal non-conference schedule his team possesses this year.

Swim team rolls over competition; prepares for more

The Charger Swim Team kept pace with the rest of the Hillsdale's sports teams this weekend by dominating Ohio Northern University and Olivet College at their final home meet of the season of Friday.

The girls took first in every event and rounded out the top three finishes in every race but two.
