Splitting up between Massachusetts and Ohio didn't effect excitement on the Charger track and field this past weekend. The team conquered events, made seven NCAA provisional qualifying performances, and broke two school records. After beating Gannon University and Mercyhurst College for the second time last week, the Hillsdale women's basketball team is now first in the GLIAC with an overall record of 19-3, 12-2 in GLIAC, the first division title in five years. A child's laughter emanated from the Wackernagel household in Montague, Mich., as a young Chelsea Wackernagel futilely raced her father around their house. "You'll beat me fair and square one day," Bruce Wackernagel said to his daughter after each race. The last five months of practice come to a head this week for Hillsdale College's swim team, at the annual GLIAC Championships.
