We like baseball, but we hate this baseball. You've gone under our radar for years now, but this past week did you in. Nine games. Nine. You've lost nine games of your past 10. But the sad thing is this doesn't cover the half of it. We're sure you have your reasons, everyone does.

A sigh of relief for an honest mechanic

Unless you have been a single woman living alone, you cannot fully appreciate a good mechanic. Indeed, some women know the difference between a serpentine and drive belt, but I am not one (yes, I had to check Wikipedia to learn that a serpentine belt is a drive belt), and few are. (0) comments

Over spring break, my cousin teased me about Rush Limbaugh. We sat on the couch as our relatives shook their heads behind us, discussing how they had told us not to talk about politics in the first place. The last time I had seen this particular cousin, we were the young hopeful Republicans our parents had raised us to be. (0) comments

Ugh. I just had to write. I have had few occasions to skim the Collegian this year, but I finally had the time to read last week's issue from cover to cover (March 26). I was appalled and disgusted by the two-page spread comparing The Beat and The Bench. (2) comments

Ms. Wyse, Freelancers write stories assigned and approved by editors. We have never profiled these houses in the past. And newspapers, on occasion, cover history. The elements you find distasteful existed along with activities essential to Hillsdale's mission, like discussion, philosophy and theology. (0) comments
