"Red Herring" entertains; puppets play lead roles

Smokers left out in the cold

State by state, indoor smoking bans are working their way across America. Due to this trend, more and more smokers are finding themselves out in the cold. Lest we forget, America has had a long love/hate affair with smoking. During World War II, the army rationed cartons of cigarettes to soldiers which led to a boom for tobacco companies after the war. Call somebody a soft white curd of ass's milk - go ahead, do it - then try to tell me the 18th century is boring. "Swift's Travels", a collection of essays on Jonathan Swift's satire, reminds me of his modern descendants: "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," "The Life of Brian," "Faulty Towers. (0) comments
